Apple has recently announced that instead of US dollars it will start charging Pakistani users in Pakistani Rupees.
Pakistani customers will make purchases or pay for their subscriptions in Pakistani rupees with this development. So they will save at least 3.5% currency exchange fee that banks impose on foreign currency transactions, which is indeed a great news for all of us.
And you must be knowing by now that Google already charges Pakistani customers in Pakistani Rupees.
Considering that users tend to make more purchases when in local currency, Apple is expecting for more business from within Pakistan. Pakistani developers will be paid in local currency after this new wave as well.
While the company has not yet communicated a time for the rollout of local currency in Pakistan, it is likely that Pakistani Rupee will be available on App Store very soon.
