Samsung Galaxy S8 won’t support Bixby voice assistant at the time of release

According to latest reports, Bixby, one of the major features of Samsung’s latest Galaxy S8 flagship, will not be there at launch of these devices. While it was rumored sometime back that it will be a part of the device, now we have learnt that at the time of release in the US on April 21, the Galaxy S8’s will not have it at least for the moment.

Samsung stated that the main features of Bixby including Vision, Home, and Reminder, will be available on launch so users will be able to benefit from features like augmented reality in the camera app. But Bixby Voice will not be available until later in 2017 in the US.

Key features of Bixby, including Vision, Home and Reminder, will be available with the global launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 on April 21. Bixby Voice will be available in the U.S. on the Galaxy S8 later this spring.

The delay is notable as the Galaxy S8 has a dedicated Bixby button. Why Samsung has made this move? Share your idea in the comments below.
