Fly over any location with Google Earth VR new feature!

Here is some exciting news for the fans of VR. According to latest reports, a new Google Earth Virtual Reality feature enables you to visit any address across the globe and fly over it in 3D using a headset system. With the help of a new updated feature on Google Earth VR, you can pick the destination of your choice if you know the location and name of the address. According to Joanna Kim, a product manager at Google Earth VR:

“People want to quickly find and revisit the places that mean the most to them, whether it is a childhood home or favourite vacation spot.”

No matter if its your  grandma’s house or a 19th-century castle in Germany, you can fly over it! As per Kim, in order to visit a place you need to type an address or the name of a location, and you will be able to visit it with a 3D headset system. In addition it is also possible for sightseers to visit 27 handpicked locations available on Google Earth VR now. These include Neuschwanstein Castle, Table Mountain in South Africa as well as the Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina.

“When we first launched Google Earth VR, we knew there was something powerful about being able to point anywhere in the world and start flying. You could soar over landscapes and cities, and discover locations you did not even know existed.”
When Google Earth VR launched the app allowed you to visit place like popular tourist destinations such as the Hoover Dam in Nevada and the Matterhorn in Switzerland. But now Google Earth VR has moved a step further by allowing you to visit the places of your choice.
Google Earth VR is available for Oculus Rift users with Oculus Touch controllers. You can get the app free at the Oculus Store and Steam.
