Instagram has always something exciting for you. Now it is introducing a new portrait mode to its popular Stories feature. The social network has been updating Instagram Stories on a regular basis with new features since its launch. It has most recently re-introducing GIF stickers and now we have a new camera mode, called “Focus” from Instagram.
Focus mode basically enables you to blur out the background of your images. But at the moment it is limited to select devices. It does a pretty good job thanks to artificial intelligence that works constantly to detect faces in the shot.
Focus mode will not just be reserved to the rear camera. Videos will support the feature as well. When captured, photos, as well as videos, can have filters and stickers applied.
In addition, the users of Stories will have access to a new user mention sticker as well. It allows you to tag others in a more noticeable manner, with the sticker adopting an all-new rainbow color effect.
