Nintendo plans to increase its share in mobile games market

At one time Nintendo was determined to stay away from mobile game business. Regardless of few mobile popular games, Nintendo hasn’t yet introduced itself comprehensively in this business but things are about to change now.

Currently Nintendo gain only 4% of its revenue from mobile business which is $358 million but approaching president Shuntaro Furukawa is planning to take it to 100 billion yen or $910 million. In current scenarios, it will be a tough task but company’s new president seems to have some ideas. Learning from the success of Pokemon GO where developer manages to balance the experience according to mobile format, Shuntaro Furukawa planning to hit the mobile game business with “single game-changing hit”. It could be the next grand Mario or Zela adventure on Android and iOS but company is still unsure about the hard hitter.
