USB Type-C could replace Lightning port in 2019 iPhone flagship

We have seen an increasing use of USB Type-C charging port in MacBook by Apple but so far there is no development regarding use of same technology in Apple’s smartphones. However, things are expected to be changed now.

Earlier it was expected that Apple will switch to USB Type-C in its current year smartphone flagship from Lightning connector. Apparently the upcoming smartphones flagship is going through such development phase in which such changes to design are not possible. So the change will be made in iPhone’s models coming in late next year along with a redesigned charger for fast charging.

Apart from lower-end smartphones, USB Type-C connectors are the most desirable option for smartphone industry. USB Type-C connectors will be considered as industry standard soon as cheaper smartphones will rapidly adopt these connectors once Apple start using USB Type-C connectors.
